The best technique used in Rediscovering Central Asia was its imagry. Every aspect of the essay is very well described and it is very possible for the reader to see a picture in his or her mind. Other than the imagery I found the essay quite bland. It was more historical and picturesque than exciting. It was harder for me to find the purpose of the essay and it was also hard for me to pay attention to it for the entire time.
