A picture is worth a thousand words.... This blog is worth 93 (Blog 1)

A picture cannot tell a story like words can. Images are strictly visual and can be understood in almost any way by it's viewer. Reading a passage, however, is different in the sense that the words chosen by the author are done so specifically to make the reader feel the way the author wants them to feel. Describing an object as old and dirty will give the reader a different idea than if it was described as antique and worn. While in an image, the viewer makes their own decision about the subject.
